The Excavator
There's a lot to take in at The Excavator: plenty of Scientists defending the site, the ability to use the mining equipment & Airdrops will target your location once you burn thru enough Diesel, it is a busy Monument with literally a lot of moving parts.
So make sure you go prepared - you'll need Diesel Barrels to run the mining equipment, a gun & ammo to protect aginst the Scientists plus plenty of inventory space and patience.
Doing Excavator
You can make your claim on The Excavator when you are ready. If you see someone using The Excavator in chat then please respect that. If you head to The Excavator and find that someone is using it without announcing it, please let them know the correct etiquette.
When you are ready to use The Excavator, make sure you are nearby and use /doing excavator in chat to announce your intentions.

There is a lot going on at The Excavator, but it's not complicated - claim the event, go to the event, do the event.
I went to the Excavator but got killed, what now?
Time to pick yourself up and try again. The Scientists pack a punch, but you've claimed the Monument, so you can try again as required.
How long can I run The Excavator for?
Because of the length of time it takes to operate The Excavator, we only allow teams to use 20 barrels in any day - this generous limit will give you 40 minutes of use, plenty of time for anyone.

The Excavator might seem impossible at first due to the large number of Scientists and the multiple places they can come from but persevere and the rewards are well worth it.
