The Oil Rigs
The Oil Rigs taunt you from your very first moments on The Island, but if you have the skills you can get essential early game weapons & ammo, deployables and rare components with just a hunting bow and quick reactions.
Most players will leave the Oil Rigs until later in their playthrough - there are countless regular Scientists and the Timed Crate triggers the arrival of Heavies.
Doing Oil Rigs
You can make your claim on an Oil Rig when you are ready. If you see someone doing your intended Oil Rig in chat then please respect that. If you head to an Oil Rig and find that someone is doing it without announcing it, please let them know the correct etiquette.
When you are ready to do an Oil Rig, make sure you are nearby and use /doing rigsmall or /doing riglarge in chat to announce your intentions.

Once you have claimed your Oil Rig of choice, the rest is pretty straight-forward, just stay alive.

The Oil Rigs are high value Monuments with end game level loot to collect. Just think about how best you can get back if you die though.
